Thornycroft Hall is a conference centre owned by the Siddington Trust. The aim of this Trust, with regard to the Hall, is to encourage co-operation between those who share the same ideals of service to society, and to develop a centre for people of all nationalities and beliefs, and from all walks of life, which will provide them with opportunities for human, cultural, and spiritual development.
The activities at Thornycroft Hall are directed to people of all ages and include seminars and conferences on cultural and spiritual topics, family development programmes, and sports and adventure weekends for young people. Retreats and days of recollection are also held throughout the year.
With its own attractive grounds, Thornycroft Hall provides plenty of scope for relaxation. Many hikes and walks can be made through the beautiful countryside during the different seasons.
Built in the eighteenth century, Thornycroft Hall was opened as a conference centre in 1978 to provide opportunities for human, cultural and spiritual development. It is supported and attended by many people of differing beliefs.
The spiritual and doctrinal activities held at Thornycroft Hall are entrusted to Opus Dei, a personal prelature of the Catholic Church, whose aim is to spread the search for sanctity in the midst of the world.
